I used to have a toxic relationship with myself. I would give, give and give until I had nothing left. I am passionate about helping others but I would often neglect myself, as a result. I would have so much compassion for others but not for myself. I started to feel overwhelmed and stressed out.

I knew something had to change so I moved to California and began to build my relationship with God and myself. I started to realize my "self-relationship" was just as important as my relationships with friends and family. I started to show kindness to myself. I learned more about ME. I found activities that I loved to do and engaged in them. I found new interests and self-care routines. I started to love myself like never before.

The BEST self-care treatment that I discovered in my "self-relationship building process" is the Korean Body Scrub. This Korean cleansing process (called "seshin") entails soaking the body in hot water, then rubbing it with a "Korean Italy towel"  to rid the body of all the dirt and layers of dead skin that accumulate naturally. Rolls of skin literally fall on the floor, leaving your skin soft and glowing! It's THE most amazing experience.
